Additional Information

Additional Information
Release Date: February 27, 1981

Distrib: Warner Brothers

This pseudo documentary was barely shown in theaters but gained a following on HBO and through video.

Interesting-the power of vhs even in 1988. As explained by Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel below-a mom and pop video store was charging $6!! a night rental for this after a major prediction in the film came true in 1988.

Trivia: With Sunn Classics gone, pseudo documentaries were being churned out to try and emulate that companies success. None of them came close.

Welles had narrated another one of these in the 70s. What does that film ironically have in common with Orson Welles last movie role?

One of the last of these genre docus that went to theaters was narrated by a Best Supporting Actor who was also no stranger to disaster as he starred in many disaster movies. Name the film and the actor?
