Columbia Pictures tried to make lightning strike twice with this followup to the sleeper hit of 1977-YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE.

All the pieces were there-a theme song from Roberta Flack, a romance, a Memorial Day weekend release, and the same director as YOU LIGHT.

Brooks also had a clever scheme with a promotion of using as computer service to find your lost loves of your past. He was the William Castle of romance films.

All of this after only 8 months after YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE premiered-but it still flopped.

3 decades after director Brooks took his own life after first learning his son was accused of murder and secondly he himself had a number of sexual harassment suits upon him.
