A WILD, WICKED DETECTIVE STORY as only Joseph Wambaugh could tell it!

Release Date: March 7, 1980
Distrib: Avco Embassy
Boxoffice: $2,500,000
After the disastrous 1977 Universal release of Joseph Wambaugh's THE CHOIRBOYS , the author vowed to produce the next group of movies based on his novels. The first , THE ONION FIELD was released by Avco Embassy in September 1979 and the 2nd , THRE BLACK MARBLE came 7 months later-also thru Avco Embassy.
Both films were highly acclaimed -and both should have garnered Oscar nominations for
