Bug is a 1975 American horror film starring Bradford Dillman, Joanna Miles, and Richard Gilliland. It was directed by Jeannot Szwarc and written by William Castle and Thomas Page, from Page's 1973 novel The Hephaestus Plague. It was the last film Castle was involved in before his death.

Release Date: September 16, 1975

Distrib: Paramount

Boxoffice: $3,602,023 2013 Equiv: $13,951,200

This Paramount release was doomed opening in many theaters in June-the same month as JAWS. Its an effective little movie on its own terms.

Trivia:BUG shares something in common with both JAWS and THE FRENCH CONNECTION II, both opening in the Summer of 1975. Name what it has in common with each?
